Does the point of sale work with a card terminal?
You can record card payments with any terminal: enter the amount on the terminal yourself and confirm in MyWest. In the Netherlands and Belgium you can also link a Mollie Terminal that you order from Mollie, so the amount goes straight to the terminal.
Can I sell products via the till?
Yes, you can add products to a transaction alongside treatments. Stock is automatically updated after each sale.
Do I get an end-of-day summary?
Yes, at the end of the day you can generate a till summary with all transactions, payment methods and totals.
Does the point of sale cost extra?
No, the point of sale is included in every MyWest plan, from €19/month excluding VAT. MyWest charges no transaction costs.
What should I look for when choosing a point of sale for my salon?
Check whether you can check out from the appointment, so you do not enter anything twice, and whether cash, card and prepaid cards are supported. Look at VAT per line, a proper end-of-day close with a cash count, the link with your stock and whether the system is allowed in your country. Also ask whether there are transaction fees or separate hardware. With MyWest the point of sale is part of the subscription and you need no separate till hardware.
